LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13, 2022 — MGA Entertainmet (MGA), one of the world’s largest and fastest growing privately held toy and entertainment companies, took home four awards during The Doll Circle’s Second Annual Doll Awards, including the prestigious overall award, Doll of the Year, for its Rainbow High™ Shadow High twins, Veronica and Naomi. MGA swept the awards, with 28 nominations across 15 categories that recognized dolls from leading brands including L.O.L. Surprise!™, Rainbow High™, MGA’s Miniverse™, Bratz®, Lalaloopsy™, and more.
The Doll Circle’s Annual Doll Awards, which are available streaming on YouTube here, seeks to highlight the most innovative and beloved dolls across the industry and are selected by experts and collectors within the toy space. “We wanted to create a show to share our love and passion for doll collecting at any age. Dolls have helped each of us in so many ways, including building these amazing friendships in the doll community,” said the creators of The Doll Awards.
MGA won in the following categories:
- Best Surprise Toys: MGA’s Miniverse Bratz Minis
- Best Doll Under 9”: L.O.L. Surprise! Tweens
- Best Retro Doll Award: Bratz
- Doll of the Year: Rainbow High Shadow High Twins Veronica and Naomi
Kicking off with a very special performance by none other than Rainbow High Rainbow Vision™ bands, Rainbow Divas and Neon Shadow, the awards were announced by best-in-class content creators, while the hottest dolls in the business watched eagerly from the crowd. The trophy itself, which was shown throughout the ceremony and awarded to overall winners, was a customized L.O.L. Surprise! Miss Celebrate doll.
