1979
The company had its start in 1979 as Micro Games of America when it became the first official distributor of Nintendo Game & Watch and other handheld LCD games in the U.S.
1997
2001
In 2001, MGA launched the highly successful Bratz line of fashion dolls, revolutionizing the doll industry with the first diverse fashion doll, turning the category on its head
2006
In 2006, MGA acquired the iconic, now more than 55-year-old brand Little Tikes, adding to the company’s portfolio in pre-school and outdoor toys.
2016
The December 2016 launch of L.O.L. Surprise!, a collectible doll line, marked the start of a world-wide phenomenon – the joy of blind unboxing – and the brand has consistently ranked as one of the top five toy properties globally since its introduction.
2020
In 2020, MGA introduced the highly popular new fashion doll line, Rainbow High, the No. 1 doll property globally in 2023
2022
2022 established MGA Studios along with the acquisition of Pixel Zoo Animation Studios in Australia.
2022
In 2022 the company marked the launch of the company’s next wildly successful line, MGA’s Miniverse, highly detailed miniature food and lifestyle collectibles for the newly emerging and fast growing “Kidult” demographic – adults who are kids at heart.
2024
In 2024, MGA entered the diecast car category with its innovative CarTuned line, designed in the “Chibi” style. The line was created with collectors in mind,featuring feature real rubber tires, metal bodies, and authentic wheel details that replicate real cars.
2024
Also in 2024, the company introduced its newest line of dolls: Yummiland. This all-new collection features DIY activity, collectability, cosmetic appeal, and superpowers to the doll category, engaging kids ages four and up, and featured make it yourself lipgloss with every doll.
